Built, not rendered

A working library before the launch page.

Import files or folders, search the collection, mark favorites and return to recent sessions. Every public launcher requires Play! to be installed separately from its official source.

  1. 01

    Local library

Folder scanning, filters, favorites, custom titles and play history stay on your computer.

  2. 02

    Seven input formats

Disc images and homebrew ELF files are passed as absolute paths without a shell.

  3. 03

    No external BIOS

Play! can use its own HLE implementation. No BIOS, commercial game or key is included; the only executable sample is the authorized open-source PS2SDK Cube Demo.

  4. 04

    Included open-source demo

PS2SDK Cube Demo is an unmodified, hash-pinned ELF for a first-run rendering check. It is homebrew—not a commercial PS2 game—and its AFL 2.0 license, attribution and exact source are included.

Open-source provenance

Every layer has a paper trail.

The PS2 Emu wrapper source is available under the MIT License. All four public launcher builds will keep Play! separate; users will obtain the independent engine from its official source.

01

Inspectable source

Swift source, build scripts, tests and third-party notices are published under the MIT License in the public repository.

02

Independent engine

Play! is an independent BSD-licensed project. Public-launcher users will obtain it separately from the official source before running games.

03

Legal files only

Bring only dumps you own and are legally permitted to use, or authorized homebrew. Compatibility varies by title.

Free for everyone

Four targets. Free for everyone.

Each download is enabled only after signing, platform-specific verification and real-hardware compatibility checks pass.
